I grew up in a small Minnesota town you've probably never heard of (Sandstone, it's worth a shot).
My education of significance began at St. Cloud State University where I received degrees in both Spanish and Mass Communications with an emphasis in Advertising. I even made the Dean's list, which made my mother very happy. During that time I had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Costa Rica where I learned to speak Spanish fluently. Well, maybe not fluenty, but pretty well.
A few years later I enrolled in The Creative Circus in Atlanta where I was taught the finer points of Art Direction and the creative side of advertising.
After graduating from The Circus I moved to San Francisco and went to work for a small advertising agency called Cornyn + Partners. Then came the dot-com crash and a move back home to Minnesota.
Once back in MN I joined up with a friend to help create a brand new advertising agency called Red Circle Agency which specializes in the Indian Gaming industry. It was there that I gained TV experience filming the highly effective "What's your Grand Casino Story?" campaign for Grand Casino.
I then moved on to BBDO Minneapolis for a couple years where I worked on all things Hormel, and Famous Dave's BBQ restaurants to name a few.
Since my time with BBDO I have been freelancing and have earned a certificate in web design in an effort to expand my skill set and keep up with the ever changing landscape of marketing and advertising.
When I'm not working I spend my time riding my bike, playing softball and golf, going to the cabin (which I refer to as my happy place), attending Twins games and hanging out with my wife and son.
